He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul B. Burns and Daisy "Irene" Mercer Burns; his sister Paulette Nusser; and his stepson Shane Tatman. He is survived by: his children, Matt Burns (Tina) and Sarah Taylor (Damon); his stepson Daniel Tatman of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Ryan (Sara), Brookie (Corbett), Brayden, Alex, Tucker, Harper, Uriah (Heidi) and Elijah; his great grandchildren, Carter, Ryder, Willow and Reuben; and his friend Mike Gumm.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
