We announce the death of Curtis D. Hines of Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 93. Curtis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Hines and Helen E. Strausbaugh Hines; his wife Nancy C. Weir; and his brother Kenneth Hines. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Cindy Scott of Londonderry; his nieces and nephews, Larry Wills of Waverly, Jeff Wills (Kathy) of Richmond Dale, Mike Wills (Melissa) of Chillicothe, Diane Hill (Art) of Londonderry, Mark Scott (Tammy) of Fort Myers, FL, Jay Scott of California, Steve Scott of Londonderry, Julie Cowan (Matt) of Peachtree, GA, Trina O'Dell (Eddie) of Chillicothe and Kevin Hines of Chillicothe; and his close friend Richard "Brownie" Brown of Chillicothe.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
