He is survived by: his spouse Nayoma Barnhart (Shackleford); his son David J. Barnhart; his grandson Kymani Barnhart; and his sister Vivian Rider.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Greenlawn Cemetery (643 Eastern Ave, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
