He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Dyke Colburn; his wife Sharalyn R. Wolfe; his great grandchild Addalynn Ater; his siblings, Shirley Edgington (Orlan), Jean Ebert (Walter) and Tim Colburn; and his siblings-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Downs and Connie Colburn.
He is survived by: his father Douglas, Sr. Colburn; his children, Carol Ater (Ron) of Frankfort and Doug Colburn III (Julie) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Dustin Michael Ater, Joshua Ater, Chenoa Colburn, Zachary Posey and Kaitlyn Colburn; his great grandchildren, Dixie, Connor and Katerina; his siblings, Nancy Downs and Jerry Colburn (Sandy) of Gallipolis; and his brother-in-law Chuck Wolfe (Martha). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
