He was predeceased by: his parents, George Owings and Joan Owings (Castor); his brothers, Bill (Esther Owings), Butch (Kandy Owings), Dick Helman, Dave Sowers and Alvin Thacker; his sister-in-law Kathy Owings; and his nephews, Ricky and Bryan Owings.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher M. Owings (Trina) of Chillicothe and Bonnie Barker (Jamie) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Alyssa Mckenzie (J. J.), Avery Barker and Cole Barker; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Violet Mckenzie; his siblings, Ruthann Thacker of McArthur, Bonnie Helman of Jackson, Georgeann Clark of McArthur, Maggie Sowers of McArthur and Rick Owings of McArthur; and his brother-in-law Doug DuBois (Clarice) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Little Mound Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
