It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M Bowers Sr. of Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Muhrel Bowers and Daisy Beekman Bowers; his siblings, F. Irene Bowers, Robert E. Bowers and John Bowers; and his brother-in-law John Brown.

He is survived by: his sister Mary Bowers Brown; and his children, Terri Bowers of Chillicothe, James M. Bowers Jr. (Darla) of Chillicothe, John E. Bowers (Carolyn) of Chillicothe, Michael A. Bowers (Jill) of Chillicothe, Bobbi Groves of Chillicothe and Melinda L. Cochran (Randy) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
