He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Rucker and Iva Barker Rucker; the mothers of children, Cheryl H Skaggs Rucker and Ruth Alexander Monk; his brother Garry W. Rucker (Martha); and his grandchildren, Clayton Rucker and Sara Baer.
He is survived by: his children, Lawrence R. Rucker of Chillicothe, Iva Lewis of Chillicothe, Michael Rucker (Billie) of Chillicothe and Crystal H. Baer (Richard) of Chillicothe; his siblings, Barry Daniel Rucker of Piketon and Mildred Hastings of Piketon; his grandchildren, Chasity, Relann, Garrett, Micah, Caitlyn, Jessica, Scott, Jason, Cindy and Sandy; and his close friends, John Cannon and John Digges. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home (314 E North St, Waverly, OH 45690). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at the Huntington Township Cemetery (1501 Liberty Hill Rd, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
