He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Johnson and Ada Johnson (Lyle); his wife Joanne Michael Johnson (Cherry); his son Edward Earl Michael; his son-in-law Larry Chapman; and his siblings, Harry Johnson and Phyllis Washburn (Johnson).
He is survived by: his children, Janet Rooks Chapman (Michael) of Greenfield, David Michael (Sharon) of Jamestown and Thomas Alan Johnson (Jeanine) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Jennifer Rooks Wenker, Kristen Rooks Cross, Michael Chapman, Bryan Michael, Danielle Michael Matthews (Jeff), Amanda Michael, Erin Michael, Jeff Michael, Eric Michael (Helen), Ryan Michael (Stacy), Olivia Johnson and Abbey Johnson Waddle (Tyler); his caregivers, Jan Leasure, Lori Allensworth and Joyce Michael; and also, Bill and Terry Minney. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
