He was predeceased by: his father Glenn Oyer; his son Rodney A. Oyer; and his siblings, Ronnie Oyer, Marilyn Oyer and Ellen Bane.
He is survived by: his wife Betty S. Patton; his son Scott A. Oyer of Chillicothe; his grandson Andrew A. Oyer; and his sister Dorothy Kemper-Neer of Urbana.
