We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025, at the age of 92, LaVerne Hollis of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hawkins and Harriet Heim Hawkins; and her siblings, Joyce Hayburn, Betty Hawkins, Maureen Ruff, Robert, Randall, Richard and James Hawkins.
She is survived by: her sons, James E. Hollis (Emlinda) of Chillicothe and Loren L. Hollis (Terry) of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Amy Lynn Dobbins (Halo), Brandi Jo Hollis, Christopher and Jason Hollis; and her siblings, Donna Babb of Denver, CO and Edward Hawkins (Sue) of Cape Coral, FL. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
