He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Herbert and Virginia Dorothy Elam; and his wife Peggy L Chaffin. He is survived by: his son Michael Elam II; his grandson Clay Elam; his siblings, Cindy Manion and Robbie Elam; and his nieces, Michelle Sonnacchio and Kathleen Bennett.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory (1661 Western Ave, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
