He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Foster Carroll and Ruth (Giffin); his brothers, Albert Foster Carroll and Frank William Carroll; his brother-in-law Fred Morris; his nibling Bobbilyn Hardesty; his stepson Gary Dean Vandermark; and his grandson Ryan Hardesty.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Dean; his sisters, Bessie Morris of Springfield and Mary Hill of Tipp City; his children, Scott Carroll (Lisa) of Ft. Meyers, Dustin Carroll (Teresa) of Chillicothe, Carl Hardesty of Chillicothe, Deanita Jean Carroll (Reg) of Chillicothe, Mathew Clifton (Tamra) of Clarksburg and Grant Clifton Sr. of Circleville; his grandchildren, Krystal Carroll, Shane Mills (Brittany), Kayla Hardesty, Natasha Hart (Nate), Amber Clifton, Cassandra Wonderleigh (Jordan), Travis Carroll (Brook), Kara Carroll, Chase Carroll (Cierra), Chelsea Groves (Logan), Nicole Scurlock (Colby), Grant Clifton Jr. (Norma), Christyn Hunt (Jerry) and Deana Blake (Jim); and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Braxton, Corbin, Charlee, Cami Jo, Aubree, Leslie, Kaden, Timothy, Isaac, Alysa, Parker, Payton, Carter, Colton Robert, Calli, Cami Jean, Amelia, Philip James, Justin, Georgia and Jerzi.
