He was predeceased by: his parents, Braxton E. Harris and Viola P. Harris (Stoner); his wife Olive "Myrtle" Harris (Eddy); and his brother Earl Douglas Harris. He is survived by: his children, David Harris (Tammy) and Debra Harris Taylor (Mike) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Ryan Kuhns, Katherine Harris, Devon Harris (Cheyenne), Andrew Harris (Kirsten), David Harris, Jr. and Kayla Harris; and his sister Sandra Lianne Howard (Harris) of Chandler, AZ. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Haller Funeral Home (1661 Western Ave, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice in his honor.
