He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Levern Hughes, Sr. and Louisa Hughes (Dunn); his sister Bobbi Lynn Hammond; his parents-in-law, Harry Bonds and Linda "Sue" Sickels-Bonds-Tackett; and his brothers-in-law, Rick Sharonburg and Harry Duane Bonds.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Lynn Hughes (Bonds); his children, Alexander Hughes (Natasha), Shelby Woolum (Charles), Abigail "Abbie" Hughes, Timothy "Timmie" Hughes and Kimberly Hogue; his grandchildren, Aiden Hughes, Ellie Hughes, Blakely "Stinky Sue" Woolum, Braydon Arnette, Deklan Rowan and Kai Wheeler; his siblings, Elizabeth Sheets (Harold), Peg Hughes and Rita Davis (Tony); his brothers-in-law, Tom Hammond and Kevin Bonds (Angie); his parents-in-law, Thomas "Harlan" Tackett (Lavada) and Marcia Bonds; and his close friends, Kevin Fischer and Bobby Schofield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
