It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alba Shleyfer in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lev Sobol; her daughter Irina Vasilieva (Aleksandr Kunkov); her brother Lieber Shleyfer; her great grandchild Lev Mitrofanov; and her parents, Ben-Tzion Shleyfer and Eugenia Yasky.
She is survived by: her daughter Anna Dorane (Jonathan) of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Maria Mitrofanova (Dmitry) of Cincinnati, Kate Makarenko (Evgeny) of Cincinnati, Jane Charney (Max Averbukh) of Chicago, IL, Mez Charney of Denver, CO and Boris Charney (Astrid Miller) of Las Vegas, NV; her sister Rachel Shleyfer of Cincinnati; and her sibling's children, Elena Ashe (Namik) and Max Burkhart of Cincinnati. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many friends.
