He was predeceased by: his father Albert Ray Bayes; his parents-in-law, Shelby and Anna Mae Marsh; and his brother-in-law David Marsh. He is survived by: his significant other Christine Bayes; his children, Lauren Walker (Michael) and Albert Jarrod Bayes (Anna); his grandsons, Jackson Bryce McGowan, Albert Grant Bayes and Adam Hudson Bayes; his mother Jessica Bayes; his sisters, Brenda Vincent (Steve) and Beth Kessen (Chris); his brothers-in-law, Gary Marsh (Debbie), Dan Marsh (Connie), Steve Marsh (Nancy) and Michael Marsh (Stephanie); and his friend Juliet. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
