He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Tenenholtz and Sylvia Tenenholtz; his son John Tenenholtz; and his sisters, Esther Appelbaum, Lillian "Lill" Ostand, Ethel Fink and Eva Vilensky.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Tenenholtz; his children, Rick Tenenholtz (Carol) and Sherri Tieger (Harold); and his grandchildren, Bradley Tenenholtz (Kendall Stevens), Mark Tenenholtz (Marley), Samantha Tieger and Blair Tieger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mayerson JCC Over 60 Program or the Isaac M. Wise Temple Rabbi Discretionary Fund.
