He is survived by: his children, Darrell D. Carter, Candace M. Lee and Merceedes "Mercee" Lee; and his grandchildren, Lavella and Lavelle Thompson, Jr.. He is also survived by seven grand kids, and ten great grand kids, five sisters and three brothers and one brother.
