He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Gott; and his parents, Elizabeth Gott and Herman Gott. He is survived by: his children, Laura Friedmann (Bart), Tom (Julie), Jim (Ann) and Bob; his grandchildren, Drew, Michael, Ellen, Nick, Caroline, Jimmy and Tommy; and his sisters, Margaret Wiechman (Bernie), Lori Kuntz (Ken) and Mary Creelman (Don). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Guardian Angels School would be appreciated.

“As a resident of Wisconsin, I was saddened to recently hear of Bernie's passing. In the late 1950s I worked with Bernie as a U.C. engineering co-op student in the Cincinnati office of the Chief Engineer of the Western Lines of the Southern Railway System. Bernie was always friendly and cheerful, asking me if I was "doing any good today." A few years ago, I called him when I was visiting my folks in Cincinnati and we had a nice chat, remembering the old days. May he rest in peace.”
