He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Traylor Beckstedt; and his parents, Carl Beckstedt and Florence Janning Beckstedt. He is survived by: his children, Dan Beckstedt (Maria), Dianna Erickson, Timothy Beckstedt and Bihl Beckstedt (Terry Bowdell); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Erickson, Marie Davenport (Tommy), Kelly Rowe (Allen), Kimberly Beckstedt (Antonio Magana), Kelsey Beckstedt, Katie Murray (Kevin), Matthew Erickson, Evan Beckstedt (Erin), TJ Beckstedt, Carl Beckstedt, David Beckstedt and Emma Beckstedt.

Memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
