He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl N. Showalter and Emily Showalter of Fountain City, Indiana.; his wife Jeanne; his brothers, Dick and Jim; his daughter Stacey; and his granddaughter Kate.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debi and Sally; his son-in-law Denny; his grandson Christopher (Rachelle); his great grandchild Westley; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Donna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Willow Grove Cemetery, Fountain City, Indiana or Ball State University Department of Education, Muncie, Indiana.
