He is survived by: his wife Dixie Mays; his children, Melissa "Missy" Clark, Dabney Tipton (Gene) and Melinda "Mindy" Turner (Sean); his grandchildren, Rachael, Michael, Christopher, Jessica, Meaghan, Jeffrey Carson and Logan; and his siblings, Charlene, Shirley Jo and Barbara.
