He was predeceased by: his siblings, Shirley Middleton and Mary; and his brothers-in-law, Rev. Richard Kreimer, Larry Kreimer and Steven Kreimer.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Nickels; his children, Donna Brown (Allen), Charles "Chuck" Nickels (Michelle), David Nickels (Julie), Debra Jewell (Michael) and Michael Nickels (Jeanette); his grandchildren, Ashley (Dustin), Katilynn (Matthew), Madeline (Alex), Charles, Christopher, Lauren, Megan, Steve, Adrianna, Mason, Sarah and Nicole; his great grandchildren, Hank, Hudson and Evelyn; his sister Joanne Gauzens (Alan); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Menkhaus (late Ed), LeRoy Kreimer, Linda Stoffran (late Al), Mary Kay Espelage (Bill), David Kreimer and Diane Meyer. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
