He was predeceased by: his grandchild Logan Kathmann; and his siblings, Anthony Trotta (Carmella), Edmund Trotta (Verna), Rosemary Vassolo (Frank), Elda Heil (Robert) and Raymond Trotta (Carol).

He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Trotta; his children, Linda Hlasny (Robert), Charlie Trotta (Joni) and Lisa Kathmann (Tim); his grandchildren, Adam Hlasny (Alyse), Evan Hlasny, Elisabeth Trotta (Jared Reilly), Lindsey Kathmann (T. J. Burke) and Leah Kathmann; his great grandchild Julia Hlasny; and his sibling Peach Trotta. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephew and friends.
