He was predeceased by: his parents, George Diersing and Pauline Diersing; and his siblings, Janice Donahue (John), Gail Darling, Tom Diersing, Jim Diersing, Elmer Lewis (Annette), Ruth St. John, Esther Meyers (Lester), Dorothy Henn (Martin), Jean Rineair, James Lewis (Dorothy) and Virginia Parsons.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Diersing; his children, Dan Diersing (Melissa), David Diersing (Frankie) and Dona Dole (Sergio Hamza); his grandchildren, David Diersing, Tara Doherty, Alex, Claire, Cole Diersing, Ashyrina, David Hamza, Sean (Shanon) and Scott Salsman (Lexie); his great grandchildren, Carlie, Timmy, Lacey, Juni, Laurel, Noelle, Liam, Logan and Olivia; his sister Lois Marconi (James); and his sisters-in-law, Sue Diersing, Arlene Diersing, Mary Peterson and Florine Stupprich (Jake). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
