He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Pollitt and Shirley Gray; and his sister Robin Bennington. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Kehrer (Joseph), Jeremy Pollitt (Becky) and Jamie Pollitt (Heather); his grandchildren, Jaylee, Makayla, Sam, Ethan, Noah and Payton; his siblings, Cathy Dillow (Randy), Lea Crisp (Glen), Radyna Lylich (Ed), Steven Gifford and Kevin Pollitt (Chelsea); and his close friend Marley (MarMar).

Dennis was a hero he gifted 75-100 people through tissue and bone donation.
