With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Sakmyster (Cincinnati, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 11, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Diane may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Diane touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Decker and Juanita Decker; her grandson Nate Schaufele; and her brother Dan Decker (Linda). She is survived by: her husband Tom Sakmyster; her daughters, Sarah Schaufele (Mike) and Susan Cornett (Jim); her granddaughter Ainsley; and her sister Debby Decker (David Phegley).
