He is survived by: his wife Peggy Johns; his children, Lisa Gilreath (Neil), Angie Sauer and Michael Johns (Shannon); his grandchildren, Rachael Vanartsdalen (Dave), Nick Blackburn, Toria Nagel, Tay Sauer (George Davis), Riley Sauer and Elliott Johns; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Harlow, Eyris, Barrett, Dylan, Frankie and Scarlet.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Homes (177 W Main St, Amelia, OH 45102). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Xavier Church (611 Sycamore St, Cincinnati, OH 45202).
