He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diane Lietz; his children, Mary McManis (Larry), Missy Rechel (Don), Mike Lietz (Lora) and Melanie "Charlie" Lietz (Don Korte); his grandchildren, Michael McManis (Melissa), Nick McManis (Allison Sherman), Savannah Rechel (Mitch Wiethorn), Maddie Murphy (Brad), Dan Lietz (Kayla), Joe Lietz (Shelby), John Lietz (Mara), Kate Schultz (Sam), Tyler Richter (Katie), Kelly Griffith (Noah) and Jess McBreen (Jake); his parents, Raymond Lietz and Francis; and his siblings, Barbara Niehauser (Ralph), Tom and Kenneth Lietz.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church (3450 Lumardo Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45238). A Mass was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the New St Joseph Cemetery (4500 Foley Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238).
