He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Morrison Smith and Edwin Milton Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio.. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Blanchard; his niece Danielle Butler (Jonathan Butler); his great-nephew Braxton Butler; his sister-in-law Jamie Waters; and his nephew Chad Moore.
His numerous contributions to the study of insects and the pest management industry are too many to list in their entirety here, but his service was known locally and nationally.
