He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexis Barnes and Helen Barnes; and his siblings, Alta Montgomery, Shirley Bailey, Helen May Conley, Alexis Barnes, Duane Barnes, David Barnes, Rosalee Brown and Liela Hucker.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Wirth-Barnes; his children, Bret Barnes (Christine), Ethan Barnes (Katie) and Allison Barnes (Andrew); his grandchildren, Michael Huber (Kelly), Ariel Herdeman (Nathan) and Sebastian Barnes; his great grandchildren, Colton and Cecelia Huber; and his sister Myrna Glendenin (Jerry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
