George Thornton Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate George Thornton (Cincinnati, Ohio), whose life came to an end on September 28, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marylin Schwab-Thornton (Maher); his siblings, Rick Thornton, Dan Thornton (Theresa), Peggy Thornton and Michelle Ziegelmeier (Rick); his stepchildren, Keith Schwab (Tina), Chris Schwab (LaShondra) and Kim Estes (Jesse); his siblings' children, Amy Hinds (Gavin), Molly Casebere (Ross), Ryan Ziegelmeier (Shannon) and Jessi Ziegelmeier; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Elizabeth Savage, Cole, Rylan Casebere, Liam and Wyatt Ziegelmeier. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the St. William Church (4108 W 8th St, Cincinnati, OH 45205). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Seton Cemetery.
