He is survived by: his son-in-law Scott Mathews; his grandchildren, Greg, Candace Mathews, Pat and Maggie Markus; his sister Betty Mitchell; and his sister-in-law Mary Manthei. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
