He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Zapata and Teresa Zapata; and his brothers, Carlos Zapata and German Zapata. He is survived by: his wife Margarita Zapata; his daughters, Anna Elam (Kurt) and Maria Graef (Doug); his grandchildren, Joshua Elam (Katelyn), Jessica Elam, Alexandra Haliti (Lirim), Kyle Graef (Carson McDonald) and Jeremy Graef (Libby); his great grandchildren, Skylar, Luke, Adea and Anny; and his siblings, Richard Zapata and Maria Teresa Zapata.
