He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Layne and Amanda Johnson Layne; his siblings, Edna Foote, Walt Layne and Robert Layne; and his son-in-law Brett Mattingly.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Dahlheimer Layne; his brothers, John Layne and Paul Layne; and his children, Rene'McGill (Bill), Carrie Mattingly (Brett), Harold Layne, Jr. (Joey), Anna Maurer (Trey), Vincent Layne (Denise), Wesley Layne (Liz), Preston Layne (Lyndsey) and Naomi Layne. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the Branch Hill Baptist Church (6526 Branch Hill-Guinea Pike, Loveland, OH 45140).
