He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irene Gossett and Kenneth Gossett; his wife Paulette Gossett; his children, Timothy Gossett (Sammy) and Karen Pendergrass (Dave); his grandchildren, Jessica Davis, Brittany Spitznagel, Tiffany Spitznagel, Mark Spitznagel II, Dave Pendergrass, Aubree Gossett and Avery Gossett; and his sister Anna Fox. He was also cherished by ten loving great-grandchildren.
