He is survived by: his wife Janice Barr (Beiderbeck); his children, Maria Barr and Mitchell Barr; his parents, Dr. James M. Barr, Sr. and Susan Barr (Blackmore); his sisters, Stacy Snyder (Jason) and Laura Cogan (Ryan); his nieces and nephews, Benjamin Cogan, Ty Snyder, Nathan Cogan, Camryn Snyder and Julia Cogan; his father-in-law David Beiderbeck (Kay); his sister-in-law JoAnn Reber; and his nieces and nephews, Kat Reber and Nik Reber. He is also survived by his sisters', father's, uncle, and grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cheviot United Methodist Church (3820 Westwood Northern Blvd, Cincinnati, OH 45211). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Miamitown Cemetery (6501 Hamilton Cleves Rd, Cleves, OH 45002).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the education fund set up for Maria and Mitchell Barr at any Fifth Third Bank.
