He was predeceased by: his parents, Norma Marie Cornett (Dickerson) and Elijah Johnson, Jr. (Wilma King); his sons, Matthew and Andrew; and his grandfathers, Boy Scouts and Izaac Walton League.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia (Kretzschmar); his daughters-in-law, Maureen (McGlone) and Chika (Kubota); his grandchildren, Daniel, Maggie, Lana and Addy; and his siblings, Rhonda Souders (David) and Marc (Belinda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to plant a tree, the Hamilton County Public Library (https://chpl.org) or the Cincinnati chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America.
