He was predeceased by: his father John Mitchell, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Rita McAdams and William McDonagh, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Noreen Mitchell; his sons, Craig Mitchell, Cory Mitchell (Natasa) and Joe Heitfeld (Alyssa); his mother Catherine Manoff Mitchell; his grandchildren, Luka, Lucy Mitchell, Hale and Rowe Heitfeld; his sibling Kim Engel; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Frances Hunter (Marvin), Bridget, Catherine, John, Eileen Kittleson (Brian) and Mark McAdams. He is also survived by many extended family members and loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Neidhard Young Funeral Home (7401 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45231). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the American Legion Post 513 (7947 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45231).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the UC Foundation.
