She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Capehart; her granddaughter Laura; and her parents, Jerome Gruber and Dora Gruber. She is survived by: her children, Gary (Therese), Sandra (Donald), Michael (late Patricia) and Edward (Jamie); her grandchildren, Christina (Bill), Steven (Amanda), Kimberly (Michael), Kevin, Ashley (Richard), Jeremy, Alex (Victoria) and Megan; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Sophia, Ethan, Marlowe, Seth, Greyson, Jackson, Emersyn, Adalynn and Kirra; and her siblings, Jean Harrison and Jerry Gruber.
In honor of Joan's compassionate heart, contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati and St. Jude Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
