He was predeceased by: his wife Laura Fay; his siblings, Mary Ann Heimbrock (Howard), Patricia Helbling (Bob), Michael Fay (Fay Martin) and Tim Fay (Jean); and his parents, Mary Grace Fay and Walter "Chappy" Fay.
He is survived by: his sisters, Kathy Benetka (Joe) and Peggy Fleming (Ed); his family John; Christine Soto (Ray), Paula Gruber (Steve), Joseph Carvitti (Pam) and Vince Carvitti (Donna). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Real Men Wear Pink (https://secure.acsevents.org), an American Cancer Society charity program that John was involved with since 2017.
