He was predeceased by: his wife Judy; his parents, Sam (Jane Hern) and Lois; his stepbrother Jack Thornton; and his brother-in-law Doug Ingram.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bill (Donna Hern), Sandy Ingram, Sue Obst, Joanne Thornton and Chuck (Theresa Thornton). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
