We bid farewell to John D. Johnson (Cincinnati, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 16, 2025 at the age of 90. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John D. He was predeceased by: his parents, Doxatos and Maria; his sisters, Thomai Stephan, Vasiliki Dinas, Konstantina Mitropoulos and Aphrodite Panos; and his brother-in-law Koumbari.
He is survived by: his spouse Antigone Zafiriadou; and his daughters, Christine and Maria. He is also survived by his Godchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (7000 Winton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45224). Although the pandemic changed his work regimen, it didn't stop him from paying frequent visits and welcoming guests to the chili parlor up until October 1, 2025, when he paid his last visit and greeted family, friends, staff, and patrons at the celebration of his 90th birthday.
