He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Muhlenkamp and Rosalyn Muhlenkamp (Knapke); his wife Evelyn Muhlenkamp (Gehm); his in-laws, Elmer and Alta Gehm (Walston); his sister Elizabeth "Betty"; his brothers-in-law, Robert "Bob" Meiring and Kenneth Pubentz; his niece Sara Brackman; and his nephews, Michael Brackman and Daniel Meiring.
He is survived by: his children, Maria Beth Borgerding (Fort Recovery) of Cincinnati and Philip Muhlenkamp (Laura Nolting) of Columbia; and his grandchildren, Sophia Borgerding of Brooklyn, John "Jack" Borgerding of Atlanta, Harrison and Nolan Muhlenkamp of Columbia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
