He is survived by: his children, Dianne Schirmann (Chuck) and Joseph S. Amareno (Gina); his grandchildren, Christina Simonson (Doug), Julie Blom (Josh), Michelle Olix (Matt), Joseph S. Amareno, Jr. and Jami Haring; and his siblings, Magadalena "Lena" (Joseph) and Mercurio. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
