He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Bedunah Kirk and Joseph Kirk; and his brother Jerry Kirk. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Anne "Pat" Way Kirk; his sons, Joseph Scott Kirk (Teri), Jeffrey Kirk (Lori), Michael Tyler Hicks (Paula) and James Douglas Hicks (Stacie); his siblings, James, Jack and Etta Jean Kirk; and his grandchildren, Abra Kirk, Eliora Kirk Hoerter (Ben), Elijah Kirk (Celeste), Alyssa Hicks and Isabel Hicks. He is also survived by great father to his 4 sons.
