She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Grimes and Juanita Grimes; and her husband Michael E. Aker. She is survived by: her children, Irene Marsh (James) and Michael R. Aker; her grandchildren, Reagan, Alexis, Piper McDonald, Kristina, Erika Marsh and Michael D. Aker; and her sister Sharon Schiman (Bill). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shared Harvest Foodbank of Fairfield, an organization that she frequently gave to.
