He was predeceased by: his stepbrother John Buschle. He is survived by: his wife Kim Bauwens; his children, Darian Fugate (Lamont), Kayden Montgomery and Gavin Bauwens; his brother Ken Montgomery (Traci); his grandchildren, Trey Wilson, Brailyn Wilson and Navi Wilson; his stepsisters, Grace Sanders (AJ), Lauren Ouaba (Hamid) and Allison Etheridge (Randy); his nieces and nephews, Hannah Prater (Gage), Melanie, Drew, Jaxson, Nathan, Neil, Lawrence, Quinn and Zane; and his great-niece Kennedy "Baby Bird" Prater.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Homes (177 W Main St, Amelia, OH 45102). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
