He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Carter and Marie Carter (Schuerch); his siblings, Tommy Carter, Shirley Ann Varin (Frank) and Rosetta Ealy (Willard); and his adoptive mother Elizabeth Clifton.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Carter; his daughters, Kelly Carter and Shannon Du Mont (David); and his grandchildren, Zachary Deffinger, Sabine Du Mont and Eric Du Mont.
