He is survived by: his wife Marlene Hall Kirby; his children, Tama Kirby Retherford (David) and Sherry Kirby Rowland (John); his stepchildren, Jamie Holdren (late William), Rob Harper (Kate) and Richard Harper (Katy); his grandchildren, Zachary (Carrie), Cody, Kirby, Heather (Noah), Nick (Melody), Rob, James (Behroze), Samuel, Daniel, Rachel, Leo and Dallas; his great grandchildren, Blake, Alexis and Luke; and his sister Eva Pearl Slusher.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
